A) Installation - top

To install Country Lock, you must first upload the contents of the site folder, so that country-lock resides in the home folder of your site ( As seen in the below picture ). Make sure the files are chmodded to 644. Try and access the country-lock folder by accessing http://www.yourdomain.com/country-lock. If you can't access it, make sure you've uploaded it to the home folder of your site.

Next you may rename the country-lock folder you just uploaded to whatever you wish. I am not going to rename it. Go to http://www.yourdomain.com/thefoldernameyouchose/ and put the name of the folder you chose to rename country-lock to in the box. If you did not rename it, simply put "country-lock".

Setting the folder path

Next enter in the password you wish to use and press Install and your done! If you encounter any issues with installation not addressed in this section, you can try and contact me.

B) Usage - top

Go to http://www.yourdomain.com/country-lock/ and select which countries you wish to manage. In this example, I will be selecting the United States and Russia.

Selecting the countries

Next, select whether you wish to blacklist the selected countries or whitelist them. As the note says: Blacklisting blocks the specified countries from a page we will see later, and whitelisting only allows the specified countries, once again, into the page we will see later. In this example, I want to blacklist these two countries.

Selecting the type of restriction

Finally, press generate and copy-and-paste the code shown.

Copying the code

Next, find the file you want to be restricted/exceptioned ( Blacklist/whitelist ) and make sure the extension is .php, if it isn't, rename it by right-clicking it, clicking "Rename" and replacing the .html with .php. If there is no extension shown, you should be able to change it by using the free FTP client FileZilla.

Renaming the file Renaming the file

Now open the file you've just renamed in your favorite text-editor ( I prefer Notepad++ ) and paste the code at the very top of the file, like so:

Editing the file

Finally, save and upload your file, and test it out! I live in the united states, so I should be blocked.

C) Sources and Credits - top

I've used the following scripts as listed.

Once again, thank you so much for purchasing this script! As I said at the beginning, I'd be glad to help you if you have any questions relating to Country Lock. No guarantees, but I'll do my best to assist. If you have a more general question relating to the scripts on Codecanyon, you might consider visiting the forums and asking your question in the "Item Discussion" section.
